Christmas Time is Near

I personally love Christmas! Since I was a little girl our family has celebrated differently every year. We always joke that it’s the family tradition to do something different. All of our holidays are celebrated this way. Holidays include such great memories such as seeing the Nutcracker with my family, traveling by train to see my Grandparents, snowmobiling, cookies, parties, and tons of laughter. I have been so blessed to have such happy Holiday memories! What are some of your favorite Christmas or Holiday Traditions? (maybe we’ll try them next year!)

(I’m sure they love that I used this delightful picture of them!)

The older I get the more thankful I am for my parents. They have been such great Christ-like examples for hospitality and generosity during the Holidays. I was also shown compassionate spirits for those who are hurting during the holiday season. With the commotion of the Holidays it is easy to overlook those who are hurting, those who are in need of a friend, and those for whom the Holiday time brings only pain and misery. As this will be the first holiday without my Grandfather I have been given a small glance into what some people suffer with the loss of loved ones. Pray for those who are hurting-seek for ways to encourage them and make this Holiday season a little brighter.

*James1:27 ~Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

Christ in his ministry here on the Earth ministered to the hurting and the wounded. Who can you minister to for Christmas? Are you ministering to someone this Holiday season?  Who can you encourage this Holiday Season?
